I just became the proud owner of my first Ferguson. It's a 1948 TE20. It is complete and original as near as I can tell. The sheet metal still looks to have some factory paint. It's been sitting in a barn for over twenty years. It doesn't have running board type foot rests on it though. Were they an option?

The TE20's were never fitted with footrests in production, any that do have them were fitted at a later date or in the case of Tractors sent to the USA and Canada, they were fitted by the importer before delivery.

Here in the UK i do a bit of rally commontating and when a TE20 comes round the ring with only foot pegs on I pass the remark that the driver is sitting on a biscuit tin lid with his feet on two six inch nails. MJ

They are available on this site. Click on parts, over in the left side of the webpage, then follow the prompts.

Foot pegs were standard.

Foot plates an option. They are still available at least here in Australia:

Andy. Saw a pair of new after market foot plates for the first time today. They were much lighter metal, but served the purpose well, than the genuine original foot plates on my TEA20.

If you want a pair, may pay you to try the tractor wreckers for an original pair first? My 54 year old foot plates were sand blasted and came up like new.
