I have recently become the proud owner of a Ferguson tractor, that belonged to my wifes grandfather. I am wanting to put it back as close to original as I can, but I am needing help figuring out the year of it.. The serial# that is located on the blue tag just behind the steering wheel reads as follows: TO 20603. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated..

At some point in your adventure, you will find out she is a 6 volt Positive ground. (unless converted to 12 volt-then she is neg. ground.)
If still 6 volt, use the search box in the ferguson forum and search 6 volt--there are many MANY posts regarding people having difficulties getting their 6 volts to start. These posts are VERY helpful. -It was this issue that started me on this site, and refer to it nearly weekly. The common denominator on 6 volt tune-ups are: CLEAN all electrical contacts until they are shiney!! Then re-install. Clean ground from back of dash until shiney (better yet, get longer cable and run ground from pos. post down to actual bolt that mounts starter to tractor. Finally, Change BOTH cables to 00 size battery cables. These thick/fat cables that are needed to take full advantage of 6 volt battery.
Oh, yea, a good (strong) 6 volt battery helps also..... ....Ha Ha Ha
Keep asking questions, these fellas are great>

Thanks so much for the quick replies... I had already checked the serial number to the ones that I found on this site, but I just wanted to make sure. I figured that you guys who deal with these things more than me would have a better understanding of the numbers.. Thanks again for such quick replies...
