I am restoring this Ferguson transport box (T-JO-20, Serial No. 15438).

It is missing one of the two latches that attach to the rear wall and connect to the lower lift arms on the tractor. Here is a photo of the latch.

The latches stabilize the box as it is lifted. I believe the latch may be missing a clip or spring to secure it to the lift arm. Any information about the boxes, the latches or a source of latches (used, NOS or reproduction) would be appreciated. I have located a company in Britain that reproduces the box and latches; but thought I"d check with the experts before buying across the "pond." Much obliged.

Hi Rick,

Are you going to sand blast the box? I still have not done any work on mine since you stopped by.

I did store it in the barn on a pallet.

Take care, Joe

Willy,

If you would check the box you saw that would be great! The latches are located on the outside of the back wall; they are mounted on two studs and held on with cotter pins. Let me know what you find. Thanks. Rick

I looked at a box in the local tractor boneyard, but it was beyond repair. it may have what your looking for on it. it may take a few days to get out there. can let you know this week . Also it's only the rear of the box in the photo. haha
