Was a toolbox (like the rear worklights) also a dealer installed option on a 1952 TO 30, and where were they typically installed? Also, what is the availabilty of this part?
One other thing that has me puzzled-- on the lower left below the dash on my 52 is what looks like a hinged lever with a rounded almost tubular end perpendicular to the flat lever end-- what is this used for? It is no longer attached to anything, and I don't see any reference to it in the Dealer Shop Manual, and I haven't gotten the Operator's Manual yet. I can post a photo if my description isn't that good, but I imagine most of you know what I'm asking about. Thanks,
Ben

If you are looking for a toolbox, I saw one in a salvage yard on Saturday. Let me know if you are interested. I'm always looking for excuses to go out there!

A tool box was actually part of the gas tank on the TO30's I have seen many others added and mounted to side of engine, rear of seat, on rear fenders, even under foot rest.
The lever you are refering to sounds like the hood latch release. Two fingers grab and pull down on hood when lever is pushed down and back.
