Hi folks -- well this is new ground for me.
I've been in the market for an 8N but have come across a couple of TEA 2085 units during my search. They look like nice machines but of course the learning curve must start all over again!

I might go see a 51 later today. Is there an equivalent to John Smith's excellent 8N buyers checklist for the TEA or any other good sources?

One other qestion would be -- what's it like getting parts for a British made tractor? 8N parts seem to be plentiful. Can the same be said the these machines?

And finally -- anyone want to weigh in on the merits of the TEA 2085? Thanks for your help!

The biggest supplier of parts for these tractors is Sparex. Go to Link and have a look. You can also buy parts from this site (YTMAG)too. If you want any help with your tractor, just email, anytime.....John

I have a TEA2085, I purchased it last Jan. the engine seems strong they don't seem to have the cracking problem that the continentals have. Sheet metal part have been the hardest to find, the dogleg were aluminum and seemed to have problems with fractures and splits at pivot mount. Also the transmission and steering box are made of cast aluminum check for corrosion around the mounting flanges. Sparex and this sight seem to have most of the engine, carb.,ignition parts.

Good luck and welcome to Ferguson Forum, others on this sight are very knowledgeable and helpful on all the Ferguson machines
