Wow; I just called my dealer about a pair of power steering hoses for my 57 TO 35. $239.21 I"m a little blue in the face kinda choled up. Can this be right, anybody have a suggestion?

Shop made hoses may not work. On my MF-135 the power steering hoses had long steel tubing ends with special bends. Rubber hoses with the same inside diameter won't fit where those steel tube fit because the rubber hoses are too fat and the won't bend as close to the connector on the end as a steel tube can be bent. I tried to put a rubber hose in place of a steel tube on my JD 4020 also and that was a wasted $32 for the custom hose that won't bend around the adjacent parts.

So you may need the exact MF hose, whether made by MF or Agco or Sparex, but not made by your local hose shop.

That is correct. You are dealing with a manufacturer who still has the catalog of parts, but does not make them. Thus, he will sell them but at the high high cost.

Search the secondary part market and you get a reasonable price. Sparex, etc.

My own expierence is, I called for a fixed lift link for the 3 point, not the adjustable one, but the fixed one.... >$600.00+. Secondary market price was around $35.00.

It is alway worh checking the dealers part availablility and pricing, just don't pass out if you get a sky high price. Just means you gotta look elsewhere.
