I'm headed to an auction tomorrow that has a 6ft,
King Kutter finishing mower listed for sale. Is that too big for my TO 30?

I priced a new MF finishing mower, $1800 you should have bought that.

Ive been asking around about a finish mower for my TE-20 and there are people running 7' mowers off a TE/TO-20's so I would think you could run a 6' off a TO-30. I currently run a 60" belly mower with a Kubota BX2200 (22 horse) tractor.

Question: "Is that too big for my TO 30?"

Answer: "Probably not."

Perhaps you miss understood the response?

I would think if you were going to pull a 6 foot mower your 30.27 horses would need to be well fed stallions, not malnourished pit ponies!

Yeah, you're right. I was a bit foggy when I read the response this morning. Thanks for the clarification.
And, by the way, well fed is my middle name.

Why do you think no?
Too much weight or not enough horsepower?

Is the answer yes or no? I run a Woods 6 footer on my TO 30 with no known problems. Am I missing something?

I think the concensus is; no problem running this six footer.
For me the only problem is, the mower at the auction tonight turned out to be nearly brand new and went for $850. I've got my rotary cutter fine tuned to the point where it cuts very smoothly and I couldn't justify spending that money for the finish mower. I did however, buy a horse drawn McCormick-Deering sicle mower.
Now all I have to do is get it home.
