Hello,
What is the "must have" service manual(s) for the TEA20?

Thanks!
Ivan

Gregory's tends to be a little abbreviated, mostly in the engine section. I use the manufacturers manual if I'm finding it difficult to understand something or if the abbreviation is such that much of the sense is lost - at least on me!

Before I tackle a task on the Old Girl, I like to totally understand the steps, how a component works etc. I'm not a trained mechanic and need to learn the theory by the book first.

Having said that, I haven't pulled out the genuine Ferguson manual for around three years!
Gregory's is certainly user friendly for most tasks.

Hi Bob,

Could you go into a bit more detail about the advantages of each manual? I have the Gregory's and am wondering whether I need the original Ferguson manual!

I have both the original manual and Gregory's Automotive No 187 "Massey Ferguson" (which I have a feeling is the Australian division of Haynes?)
I prefer to use the Gregory's Manual and only refer to the Ferguson manual for the complicated bits!

Hello.

The right manual for the TEA 20 is one that is the original shop manual for that tractor. Can be had from FOFH in England, and soon it will be available from Graham Pressman too, he has the license to print them and is currently working with that.

The fofh address is: www.fofh.co.uk
