All I see in the Ferguson site are references to the TO-20 and TO-30.

I have two TO-10's, serial numbers TO-10 74419 and TO-10 89641.

Does anyone have any information on this model?

At least the water gurgles out of the bath in a clock-wise direction - and car steering wheels are on the right side!

They are readily available in the UK for around ten pounds, but I bought mine two or three years ago and can't recall the supplier. John (UK) may remember?

I found them!
Part Nos ABH0050, ABH0051, ABH0052, ABH0053 Serial Number Plate £8.99 each from Vintage Tractor Spares.
Download the T20 Parts Catalogue in pdf format. You will have to contact them to find out which data plate suits your tractor.

I think new data plates are only available for TE series tractors, not TO series. But it is probably worth asking the question as I see they stock TO series tractor parts.

Don. Sincere apologies, just my sense of humour. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional. I've achieved the former but struggle with the latter!

When I saw this thread I rechecked my Harry Ferguson library and there is no mention anywhere of a "TO10". I also confirmed the "20" (as in TE20 or TO20) was approximate engine horse power, same for the TO30, 35 and 40.
I guess there could be a possibility it is a 10 HP lawn tractor, however they were built much later by MF, not Harry Fergson Ltd/Harry Ferguson Inc, as now confirmed by Dewey.

I'm with George on this - I think Dewey has a couple of TE20/TO20 or TO30s. I will be very interested in seeing the photos of the ID plates.

Dewey, here is the data plate on English built Ferguson TE20/TEA20 tractors:

third party image

I think the TO20/30 data plates are similar but indicate "Harry Ferguson Inc" and have the serial number in a different location.

Bob,

Where did you get the new serial plate? I would like to get mine redone if possible.

I have never seen 20 or 30 stamped on the serial plate. Usually it is TO XXXXX . I am wondering if someone took a stamp and knocked a 10 behind the TO for some reason. Pictures will be interesting. Also if you find casting numbers on the engine or a engine data plate get the information off of it and post it here please. Richard

Dewey,
I never heard of a TO10 either. That's not too suprising, there's lots of things I never heard-of though. But those serial numbers look like TO30 serial numbers

Dewey

Not many TO10s left - you may even have the last two in existance!
With only two wheels and the 10 HP two cylinder engine, the TO10 had very disappointing performance, so they were rebuilt in pairs and combined to build the TO20.
Occasionally three TO10s were combined and called the TO30, although two of the combined six wheels were discarded. Perhaps they should be called TO25s?

Most people have never heard of the very early TO5 experimental tractor with single cylinder Briggs engine and only one wheel. It was a real balancing act and never sold!

I've never heard of one either. As far as I know, the first Ferguson to roll off the line at the first Ferguson factory in Detroit was a TO-20 and it's in a museum somewhere in the southeast??
I'm like Kenny, all of us Fergy guys sure would like to see a picture of one. When you're in a hobby dealing with old things, just tell someone that something absolutely wasn't made, and he'll bring one out and show ya!! LOL I've ate crow pie a couple times myself. ;^)

Never heard of a TO-10. Are these numbers stamped on the Aluminum plate just above the steering wheel?

Sorry Jerry & others--For months now I've thought these were TO-10s until I went out and took a picture of the nameplate, brought it in and put it on my computer and got a good, enlarged picture on the screen. Guess what? No 10. It turns out that they are 1952 model TO-30s. So much for that. I apologize to everyone involved.

Each TO-10 has that number and the serial number stamped above the steering column. They appear to be much like the 8N Ford. On the same aluminum plate as the above information is the name, Harry Ferguson. I'll get some pics and get them on here shortly.

The serial numbers should be something like TO-00001 to TO-60000, for a TO-20 and TO-60001 to TO-140000 for a TO-30.

As I said before, I never heard of a TO-10 and from the other responses, I don"t believe anyone else has either. The only other series I am aware of is the TEA-20 and the TO-35 but none had serial numbers as high as you are listing.

I have a picture of the aluminum plate with the info on it, as well as a pic of the entire tractor. I just have to figure out how to get it uploaded! On the nameplate, at the bottom, is Harry Ferguson, Detroit, Michigan.

You can upload the picture to the "tractor photos" in the galleries section to the left of the screen then copy the reference URL (below the picture after it is uploaded) to a post here on the forum.
