On my list of projects for today is to top off the hydraulic oil in the TE Ferguson (52). There has been various opinions expressed on the fullness or amount of oil to be placed for use in the hydraulic system. Did start of with 20 liters yesterday. What is the correct level? Cheers, Murray

It holds 6 galls(US) filled through the plug at the side of the gear lever. to check if you have the correct amount it, apart from the dipstick on the right side under the seat, if you remove the lowest screw that holds one of the round side covers to the centre housing, oil should JUST run out, if it pours out there is too much in. If you run with too much it will get onto the brakes, running with slightly less will not be a problem unless you use the Tractor to tip a trailer or operate a loader as the quantity of oil may not be sufficient, as long as it is up to the screw hole it will be fine....John
