Does anyone know what the crankshaft and rod journals should mic at for a 1953 Ferguson TEA20 (Standard Engine - English Built ). I picked up a nasty rod knock so I shut the engine down. Removing the pan shows the rod journals have been stamped, so the engine was rebuilt at sometime. The rod bearings were pounded to death so I suspect the crank is probably undersized and the wrong rod bearings were used.

Anyway if someone can tell me what they should mic I would really appreciate it. I also need to locate good bearings. Any suggestions?

Please email me direct at dwaynerussell@earthlink.net

Bob

Thanks so much. I will get out there and run a mic over the journals and see what were dealing with. I was hoping to get through the summer with this tractor and then start a full restoration this winter when the weather is cold and I have time to work on it.

Dwayne
