I just rebuilt my Marvel-Schebler TSX361A carburetor. There were no instructions with the kit and I don't have a manual. After I reassembled and installed the carb, I seated both screws (the big knurled knob and the little screw on the side) all the way in, and then backed them out 2 1/2 turns. It started right up. But I know this isn't the correct setting. Can anyone tell me a good setting for these two screws as an initial setting before fine tuning?

About 4 days back we discussed this. The idle screw is opened 7/8 turn initial adj. The main jet(power jet) is opened 1 1/4 turns initial adj. Fine tune at operating temp. The Ferguson engine uses fuel to help cool the valves under heavy load, so never operate with the main jet less than 1 full turn open. Ideally the main jet is adjusted with the engine loaded, as with plowing. I plow 20ft. and make a small adj.& repeat this until I find the spot that pulls best without loading up. That my method.
