Added a bakers dozen of pics to my album.
The engbottom and dash pics are what they say.
The first time pics are the first time I fired the new engine. A very happy day indeed.
The mowing pics show how tall the grass was in one area when I finally got the tractor running. Granted the finish mower was set at maximum height and I was in first but I was thrilled to be able to get through this with a 6ft deck.
Worn actuator is the business end of the shaft that on one end is connected to the handle for the 3pt. This end rubs against the fork under the cover. The one on the right is what came out.

Great job, Neal!!! Where did you get a 3000 rpm tach?? What brand is it? I wouldn't mind getting one myself.

Thanks.
The tach is a DATCON that I bought from Genesee Products. You can find a link to their web site if you click on "parts suppliers" in the upper left corner of this page. I really like it for mowing so I know that I have the PTO rpm where it should be. The tach is expensive and I think requires a 12V system. I also put in an electronic ignition from the same source. Works really well.

Neal,

Thanks for the feedback on the tach by DATCON and Genesee Products. I looked at the DATCON web site and noted they also own Stewart Warner. My TO-30 is already convert to 12 volts (PO)

Neal, Nice job. It is a nice feeling when they start ain't it. Down for weeks or months and sometimes not sure if things will go as planned or how much trouble it will be to correct and when they fire right up only people that have been there know that feeling. Good for you! I painted the seat, hubs, shift lever red also on the one I rebuilt too. Just need to do the tin. I will most likely take it to a body shop then shoot the final coat myself. Then I an start on my worker over the winter. Next summer an Allis Chalmers B. Just for getting the mail! Nice job, Joe

You are so right about that great feeling. I would have done cartwheels if I could but had to settle for jumping around instead. All things will be gray in time. The hood has been pushed in at the top front and needs to be fixed by someone who knows what they are doing (not me). The grill needs work also. I hope to get these things done this fall and touch up/clean up from the summers work so I can finally have a picture of it all done.
Your next project sounds like a good one. My wife wants a Farmall Cub so as soon as its in the budget we will be looking.
