I have a 1956 TO35 gas. keep burning up points. have installed new condensors each time with the points. they last about 20 hrs then the engine will start to miss. has anyone had this problem before. I'm going to try a different brand next time.

Probably whats happened is that you have the wrong ignition coil. You will need to switch to a coil that has an internal resister, or you can put a resister on the power wire to the coil. I had a old industrial ford engine that used to do this. A dodge ballast resister did the trick.

Thanks for the input. I was kind of leaning in that direction. been a long time since I worked on something with points. I do remember on cars that they would cut the voltage down to 9volts for the points.
