I recently purchased a Dearborne Loader for my TE20. The loader is off of a Ford 2N. It has the live pump in front that runs off the engine pulley. My question is, what do I need to do when running the pump drive shaft to the engine, as far as being able to still tilt my hood open? I don't what to cut up my grill. I need to know what anyone else has found to work. I can fabricate a grill replacement to use with the loader if needed. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks for any input!

Clak;

I have a Dearborn loader on my TO 30. Tin is in good shape so rather then cut up the hood I just removed it. Sometime I sould like to find a frnt mount pump and drive shaft. I have to chain the lift arms down now.

I have a Dearborn loader like yours, came off an 8N Ford. I am putting it on a TO30. There is no alternative I can see other than removing or cutting something. You will need to get to the gas tank and the radiator cap. You can either remove the hood, or cut holes, or cut the hood where it joins the grill, but I think you have to do at least one of those three options. The tractor I am using started life as a municipality tractor with a loader, so they already cut it, or maybe they bought it that way from Ferguson as a special order, but it is a beat up tractor that I don't plan to restore and I think that is the best option for this use. My thoughts, for what they are worth.... Email me if u like.
