i just got my to30 back together and my hydrolics dosnt stay up i had this problem before i restored the tractor. i repleced both of the valves in the pump i adjusted the rear spring where the impliment kicks up when you hit somthing i also adjusted the lever on the side where you raise and lower it. what else could do this? i checked it to day and it was down yesterday when i left it it was up. this is with nothing on it just free weight from the arms. could the pump itself be bad or the piston rings.

Possibilities include: the piston rings, the "O" ring seal between the top cover and the housing, the oil pipe itself may have a leak. An easy way to find out if the rings, "O" ring or oil pipe is leaking is to remove the rh inspection cover(with the dip stick in it) start the tractor with the pump running. You will see oil spraying/dripping/running from above if there's a leak above the oil level.

Gerry;
I rebuilt the hydraulic pump on my TO-35 last year
and I recall the instructions in the manual
stating that the valve seats need to be re-seated
when installing new valves and there's a special
tool to do this.
