Stuck leveling bar

I have a Fergy 20. The leveling bar, that adjusts the height of the right lift arm, is stuck. I don't think its' rusted solid, but copious amounts of CRC haven't budged it. I don't want to lean too hard on the pipe wrench unless the bar breaks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

If you didn't already, remove it from the tractor first and put it in a vise to work on it. That way worst that can happen is you mess up one thing, and it is replaceable.

Thanks, I've tried to get it off. I got both the pegs off the top part, but the bottom bolt has proved difficult. All I know is that the nut comes off, but with the nut just on, several blows with a small sledge hasn't budged it. Is it threaded on the left side aswell? Also, how much would a replacement cost, roughly? Thanks.

Not near my tractor now, but it should come off. As to cost, try the salvage yards first, maybe $50 for unit? I bought fancy aftermarket version recently (top and bottom are two items sold separately) and the total for both pieces was around $90. The catalogs have them. You can get poor mans version with rod like top link turning rod instead of screw handle and those are cheaper; and if you don't do a lot of work with a back blade, etc., that might be good choice, but would be difficult from tractor seat.

Contact "EO & G's farm center at (334) 745-0044.
i am looking at their catalog and new unit for your tractor is $14.19. This is for the top half.
You should be able to seperate them once you get them off.
