I have a Fergy 20. The right foot break does not work. On the left brake (which does work) the shaft rotates backwards, but on the right, it rotates forwards, when the pedal is depressed. The lever system where the pedal connects to the shaft seems to be jammed. How do I get thelever thing off, as it seems to have no bolts that actually remove it from the shaft. By the way, the parking brake works fine. Also, how do you adjust the brakes? The square-bolt on the drum makes a clicking sound when I turn it clockwise. Is this tightening, or loosening the brakes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the right hand cam operates the same as the lh one. what you probably have is a rusted/stuck cam which is right next to the rear end hsg. to get it off you have to pull the rh wheel off and remove the 2 big nuts on the inner outside of the drum, there is also a keeper collar on the inner outside of the drum that has an allen key bolt in it. it comes apart pretty easy after you do this, slide the shaft toward the drum and slip the cam off and work it over. i just fixed one of these and it was too stuck to free so i got another one and replaced it. good luck. dave
