Well I guess I am a little frustrated. I took the old triple PTO seal out. When I went to the Ferguson dealer they gave me a double seal. They said that I couldn't get the triple seal anymore and that Ferguson superseded to the double seal. When I went to put the new seal in, I discovered to my dismay that the new seal is about .008 larger than the old one. So when I went to press it in, the seal is compressed so much that it looses its shape. I even heated the casting to press it in. I talked to the dealer again and they sent for another seal thinking I had recieved the wrong one. However that seal was the same size as the other one. So as you can guess it leaks. Has anyone else had this problem before? If so what did you end up doing? Right now I am thinking of ordering a special seal Detroit Ball Bearing.

Thanks for any help.

Matt

I put a new PTO seal in my TO 20 11 months ago. The seal my M-F dealer sold me was part # 9NN703BB
which looks like a Ford part #. It went in easy enough and does not leak. I can't remember what design it was.
