Got my owners manual on the TO-30 and it mentions, oiling the wick,[ under the rotor], a slight film of grease on the breaker cam, and then a "plug" to remove every 750 hours to fill with 20W motor oil.Where is this plug?

The plug is located on the out side of the dist. housing. I don't know if it has pipe treads or not but it is about 5/16 or 3/8 " in dia. and is removed with a screw driver.

I looked;I did not find any slotted plug on the distributor, or it's shaft...BUT, on the block, just an inch to the left there the dist enters, there is a small bolt that looks like it may have a leather washer. Around the distributer is a clamp that is probably for timing adjustment. So that may be the reservoir plug. I will check in the daylight tomorrow.

I have a TO-35 that I am restoring and just finished rebuilding the distributor on mine. The oil plug is located between the distributor adjusting bracket and body of the distributor. I Didn't see mine until I removed the distributor. It must have been turned around to the back. As for the reservoir, it seems to be pretty meaningless to me. If you look at the design of the distributor the bushing that the shaft runs in has the oil blocked completely from any moving parts of the distributor. Can someone tell me if this makes any sense?
