Hi, John,

Speaking as a pleased 3000 owner, you have acquired yourself one good small-to-medium tractor. Pretty it up and fix it up so it runs good and doesn't drip fluid all over the place...then if it's a diesel and has power steering, you will have a friend for life. Put a knob on the steering wheel and you can ride that hoss all day long.

John,

The value varies considerably from one part of the country to another. Around here (Alabama) a 3000 diesel in real good condition will bring $5500 to $6500 without implements. I paid $6350 for my 72 model earlier this year. It was newly painted, thoroughly checked and reconditioned, and had good rubber. Not rebuilt - it didn't need it. It drips no fluids and burns no oil.
