Lousy front axle and steering (2WD). Otherwise, not a bad rig.

I have lost my RPM's and hour meter. I put my positive wire on my battery and didn't have it tight enought. When I started my tractor, the RPM meter stopped working. Do you know where the signal is coming from? I haven't checked the fuse box. Please help.

What's wrong with the front axle. Is it light?

It's too light for all but the easiest duty. Too many pivot points in the steering linkage, and too many of these are non-regreasable. The steering system relies totally on the steering box to maintain toe, as there is no common tierod. Manual steering is hard, and power steering is assist only, and prone to leaking everywhere except maybe the pump. Just a modern-day version of the 600. (or an 8N with P/S).

Couldn't have said it better myself Rick. Agree 100%.

What did you ever come up with on that 1210 crank pulley? Still curious.

Did they come with live PTO and hydraulics? Thanks for all your inputs. Bruce

Yes, it will have live hyd. Pto can be transmission-driven (non-live), live (with 2-stage clutch), or possibly independent if it happens to be a series II tractor. Series II will also have inboard wet brakes, a plus.

all 2910s have wet disc brakes all have independent pto these are agood tractor and unless your planning to install a loader the steering will not be a problem the only problem we ever had with a 2910 is its weak in horsepower for the weight of the tractor
