I have a 4610 Ford which has wet brakes on it. Recentley when the brakes are applied a rubbing noise is herd. The brakes still work fine. Are the brakes wore out, or is something else going on? I would like some advice before I take the axles off. Any help would be appreciated.

If you still have plenty of adjustment left on the adjuster threads, and the brakes don't drag, they are fine, don't take the thing apart. The noise you hear is probably a squall/chatter caused by certain types of oil. If you feel this is the case, go to your local NH dealer and ask for anti-chatter additive part #251403. Make sure you also change the oil at the same time as you put this stuff in, preferably with the NH 134 hydraulic oil.

Bern is all right. He does mechanics in all the word. He explains me many things on Ford models. Why French dealers are not so good as him?
Can I have this additive in France. I have the same problems on my old 7400
I used a 4610 Mustang for 4500 Hours, no problems on brake because we use the recommanded oil. Be careful also with the gear box I think especially the synchros
