I recently bought a '45 2N that has a high low lever on the left side of the tranny. forward is low and back is high. There appears to be a neutral in the middle. Is this typical of a 2N or was it an after market invention. What exactly do I have here? Also anyone interested in emailing me archives or chatting about 2N's(or otherN's) can do so. Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

The "Sherman" step-up auxillary transmisson was a dealer option and not a factory option. There were several aux. trannys. This tranny added more speed for highway traveling.

You ever see such a clean tractor????

Hey Tyler, when are you going to put oil and antifreeze in it. Its been almost a year and a half since you painted it, I would think by now you would get tired of towing it around for photo opportunitys.

Put the oil, grease, and antifreeze in it and let it get grungy like a tractor is supposed to be.

Photo-op...is that all the good Dr Tyler's grandad's N is for? Put Bill Clinton on it and re-define over-under and indirect.

It all depends on what the definiton of "is" means. What do ya think Bill nicknamed his "N"?
