If you are doing work on the lighter side an 800/801 would be great, but for heavier work espessialy loader work I would recomend a 4000 or 5000 with the 3/4 cyl diesel. We have a 4500 backhoe that works ok and is in rough shape, that is mainly because we have an excavating buisness and it gets abused, but on six acers it would be hard to wear out a 4or5000, however finding one in good shape with a loader might be a bit more expensive.

Hi: I just bought an 860 with power steering and a Loader, scraper, rear bucket, and a boom lift for 4600. I have used it for about a month, so far have not found something it wont do. Did have a little problem with the ignition but a 12v and electronic ignition kit will fix that in the near future.
So far so good..

Would really recomend the 860/861.

Thanks

I can't recommend what to buy but you might want to repost with what (weight) you plan to lift and someone may be able to give you a better answer. I can make a recomendation from my experence. Don't get an N series. The front end is too light for much loader work, it has no PS and other thing make it not fit your specifications. Remember this you only regret it once when you spend more money and get more tractor, you will regret it every time you use it if you go cheap.
