Cooling System: Put in new radiator. Still get hot and boils over. What are the possible solutions: Thermostat, waterpump?

Usally if you look in the radiator while its running you can tell if the pump is curculating water by the movement.
If the thermostat is stuck closed the eng will get hoter that the radiator first but then the heat transfers on out to the radiator because you dont have good circulation. You can remove the thermostat and run it without. The eng will take longer to warm up but not overheat.
You could have a busted head gasket.
Make sure your fan belt is tight.
Do you have a fan shroud? This increases the flow of air.

Look for big air bubbles in radiator.
This could be compression loss from
a blown head gasket. Some times no
thermostat also makes big bubbles
as water circulates to fast and
creates cavatation. also if it
circulates to fast the water has no
time to really get cool.
GOOD LUCK!

Carlos

I missed that one. I didnt think of it not even having a thermostat.
