I have a 1975 FORD 3000 Diesel Tractor for sale.
Just bought a 4 wheel drive Ford 3830 because I found our vineyard slopes too steep for the 3000.
I have used the 3000 for 5 years for mowing, airblast spraying snowplowing etc. It is in excellent shape and working condition. Only 4100 original hours. Has new back tires (18" width orchard style). Asking $US 5500.00 FOB Naramata (Okanagan Valley) BC Canada.

I've heard that the pumps can lose their prime (the fluid that stays in the pump so that it starts pumping when the tractor is started). The fix I've seen advertised is to remove the pipe plug on the end of the hydrualic pump (the end facing rear) and crank the tractor over until oil comes out -- but don't let the tractor actually start. Once you get oil replace the plug.

I can;t vouch for this by first hand experiience (Anybody????) but it seems reasonable, and it sure has to be easier than disassembling half the tractor, so maybe is worth a try first.....

There is an inlet screen for the pump located at the bottom of the rear axle housing. To get at this screen for service will require either removing the 3 point lift cover or splitting the tractor. Mighty convenient, don't you think?
