Trying to help a friend who has a 2110 Ford Diesal. Great little tractor when it will crank, but drains 2 batteries and takes 5 minutes to crank. It is a Japanese made tractor. the numbers are: UV00259, Mod.# 313A, Unit# 32216. Any help will be appriciated. Moye

When you say it takes 5 minutes to crank, I assume from that then that you are actually spinning the engine over during that time and yet it will not fire? If so, check the glow plugs. First check to be sure power is getting to them. If that checks out, remove them all and put power to them one at a time and check to make sure the tips get red hot. I assume through all this that you are actually preheating the engine with the glow plugs before you start to crank it.

Bern, sometimes you need to be reminded of the little things. No we were not using the glow plugs. Yes, I knew they were needed. However, a check showed that only 2 were working right. Using the two, the tractor cranked within about 30 sec. Had been taking a LOT longer. Will replace the two bad ones. Thanks a lot. Moye
