Anyone happen to know which fluid that Farm and Family sells would be appropriate for my 3000 SOS tranny?

Also my owners manual reprint shows a filter for the tranny in Fig. 87 and also a screen in figure 94.. Any cautions for servicing these items?

My sos has been acting goofy so next time I get it hot it will be time to change fluid. Thanks for the help!

Don't know how to start a new post,so I'm using your SOS post to relate my problem..... .just bought a 3000 diesel and had the brakes checked....brakes are OK,seems the tranny is always working, even when the clutch is in.....HELP!!!!....any adjustment or other remedies other than rebuilding or changing the tranny?

Bob, At the bottom of the main board page is a place to enter your message. Repost your question there, and give more detail. Assume you have an SOS tranny but you did not say so. Clutch(?), there is none on an SOS, at least not in the same sense as a stardard tranny. So I'm confused by what your post is asking.

Larry

Hi Truck,

Since you got the service manuals, have you ever adjusted the SOS bands?? I'll be using only the F/NH 134 fluid in my 2110LCG SOS and would suggest you do also. Other trannys I'd not be so sensitive about.

Did you get the tach fixed?

Regards,
Larry

I guess today we will stop by the New Holland or "whatever they are called this week" place and get some 134.I was kinda leaning that way anyway.. Nope, haven't fixed the tach yet. Something about springtime hitting with a wallop and me still being on last summers jobs.. Thanks for asking tho!

You've gotten to last summers jobs?!?!?
I'm still struggling to get the summer before that jobs done!! :-)

AND THEN I go and start more new ones this past fall - fencing, pushing up trees in an old fence row, digging rocks out of the hay field, etc., etc.

The hurryer I go, the behinder I get!!! :-)
