1720 front loader problems

Have 1720 with front end loader it will only lift 2ft. then quit.Presure is good on system,fluid and filter has been changed.There are no leaks or restricted lines.Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a return restriction, probably in one of the couplers. Try removing the male tip from the hose connected to the rod end of the lift cylinder circuit, and venting the output to a bucket. If it lifts fine then, you have a problem with the male tip or female coupler, likely one of those darn females!

try moving the rear hyd lever(brushhog)handle a small amount it works on my 1720

Hey fellow Ford owners, The condition you folks are describing sounds to me like a thing called hydraulic lock. That would be when the tiny orifice located in the spool of your hyd. valve becomes blocked and therefore no hydraulic balancing can take place inside the valve body!.The valve will not shift all the way to the postion in which you are moving the control arm. Soultion Remove or have removed ( if possible ) spool and clean it. It only takes a little dirt to make a hyd. system fail! Good Luck
