Bern, I ran across one of your post that said that the louvers in the hood indicated that the tractor was built between 1965 and 1967. As you can see I have one with louvers but the date code is 8A9 indicating a 1968 tractor. Has my sheet metal been changed? Also does anyone know where I can get decals for this tractor?

David,

The "Ford Force" tractor did not come out here in England till June/July 1968. Your tractor is January 1968 so it is still "pre Ford Force" and should have a louvred bonnet and the old decals.
regards
Brian

Thanks Brian, that helps a great deal. Now my question still stands about where to get the proper decals with and explanation of how they are arranged. Could you possibly point me to a picture?

Dave.

I have a brochure on 1968 Ford 3000. I think you can still get decals here in Australia. I can check with New Holland. Let me know. L. Wignell

My father bought a brand new Ford 3000 in England in 1966 - I have some old B&W photographs from the late 60's of the tractor showing/detailing transfers, bonnet louvres etc. If I can scan them in, do you want them sending?

Steve.

Steve, I sure would appreciate it if you could send me a copy via E-mail. At least I would have some idea of what to look for at the tractor store. My E-mail address is dparker@alstompressure.com

thanks in advance
Dave

Apparently I'm not as computer literate as I thought!!!! The best way is to go to the photo gallery here and search "3000". I have two pics listed there.
