I am trying to determine what year model that I have so that I can purchase the proper repair manual. Numbers found on block as follows: R.H. side...D101 1K15B C316185 L.H. side...1H19B C7018. I have a hydraulic leak at the tube between the lift speed control knob mtg. plate and the plate below it. I am sure that the o-rings need to be replaced on the tube but am not sure how to go about doing it without chancing dropping something in the transfer case as I am not familiar with the assembly.

I have a leak in my ford 4000 power steering system. I loose a full canister within minutes and don't see where it is going to? I presume it is flowing into the base through the pump. Is it possible to rebuild / reseal (o-rings) yourself? Thanks Wayne

The date code 1H19B places your 4000 as a 1971 (Aug) build. The correct repair manual from New Holland (.com/na) will cover 2,3,4&5000 tractors from 1965 to about 1972 or so. The repair you are facing will require the removal of the lift cover and the flow control valve assembly.
