I have been given a 3000 that I have been using for the last 2 years. Its a gas but sounds like a disiel at low RPMs, sounds fine at 1500 and above. I've got to replace some body panels and repaint (hit a tree dead center front mowing) and if I need to rebuild I want do it before body work. Is this noise normal or how do I determine if a rebuild is required. The tractor has a freman loader that has been removed. Can I tap into the tractor hydrolics to operate the loader or do I have to cut the new sheet metal to install the pump. Where can I find parts on the Freeman loader or purchase a different bucket or edge.

I am in the process of rebuilding a 3000 myself and I have found that OAKTREE is a great source
for parts and help. I even down loaded plans for a ROPS (roll over protection system)for my tractor that I'm making right now, it is a great web site. Good luck with your tractor and let me know how it turns out, I will let you know mine comes along.
