This is not a tractor question--just a general automotive question.I've got a '92 Taurus with a pretty fast antifreeze leak, whic appears to be coming from where the transmission meets the block. I was told the block is probably cracked. Does anybody know of a product I can add to the cooling system that will plug the crack, at least temporarily? I'm going to be junking the car in a few months; I'll need it until then but I don't want to put much money in to it (definitely not a new motor). Thanks.

It may be a coolant tube O ring that has gone bad, or a rear freeze plug also. A crack would be unlikely unless you froze it.
Barsleak is good stuff. It may not work if it is a hose or fitting that is leaking. You may want to talk to a Ford tech to see what is common on your motor for a leak in that area.It may be something pretty simple you could fix yourself.

I've used Bar's Leaks Golden Seal (cooling system sealer and conditioner).
