I just bought this 861 this summer with 14.9 tires installed. They are mounted on the spin out type rims. The tires look great, like they were supposed to be on the tractor. They do have liguid in them also. I took the tractor across the scales last week and with 1/3 tank fuel and two draw bars it weighed 4170 lbs. Dan Robertson

Dan-You have a great looking tractor. Where did you get it and what do you use it for?

Hi Brian, I got lucky and found this one at an auction back in June of this year. I had been looking for a nice 861 since 1994. I have seen several sale at auction and in the classified adds in that time frame. I probably paid a little much for this tractor, but in it's condition and the options that it had on it I felt I just couldn't let it get away. As for what I use it for; the grandkids love to take rides on grandpa's tractors. I do bush-hog a little and maintain a half mile of private road. That includes plowing the snow too. Thinking of going to a few tractor shows also. Dan Robertson

Beautiful tractor, Dan! Thanks for the weight info, I've been wondering what my 850 might weigh with the filled tires. Incidentally, I ran across a 1940 9N with 14.9 tires on it. I can't remember what rims he was using....not the stockers, that's for sure. Those tires looked HUGE on that little thing.
