Thanks!!!!! !! for the help and got it charging,HOWEVER the ammeter guage flickers and very bad at high RPM On fast idle about 1000 it shows a nice charge and steady Any Ideas?? All wires test good and also are tight on terminals.Part. Stub shaft at end of Tack cable where it goes into Pump any one know the part number or suppler?

Ben, If the amp meter is in the extreme plus area when it flickers and you are getting a full charge; It may simply be the regulator kicking on and off. If you are not hung up on keeping the tractor 1oo percent origional; you may want to consider changing over to a volt meter. The advantage to this is that a meter problem will not affect the charging system itself. In other words, the ammeter is wired in series. When it fails, so does the charging ability. But ammeter failure is rare. I just thought I'd throw that in. I can't help it . I'm a dependability freak. Can't help with the cable end. Leon.
