Does anyone know where Camgear power assist add-on steering was manufactured? This type of power assist steering was put on my tractor when I bought it. Also, where I can find parts to fix this system? I can't seem to find the parts for it. The system I am looking for is on a Ford 3000 with a front loader. It worked pretty well before it quit. It was a little loose but it worked. What happened was the last owner of this tractor let it run out of fluid and it started to eat up the upper and lower bearings. I got the tractor and started servicing and filled all the fuilds up. It worked well for about a year. The system has key between the pump and the steering rod, which had a loose keyway which had eaten up the upper bearing, before I got the tractor, and the key fell out of the keyway, when it loosened up, into the worm box and the rest is history. I'm stuck in trying to fix it. If I can't fix it, I'm looking at replacing the whole steering system from the ground up. Also, where do I go from there if I have to? Any help will be appreciated. I need your help guys. I have used your ideas to get the steering off and it worked. I hope you all can help me now. AJ in Va. Southern Va. that is.

I hope you can track down/ find the parts. If not, machine shops can sometimes do terrific jobs of recreating parts, and at competitive prices to very old stock.

I have a 1979 Ferrari 308 that has a manual CamGearsLTD steering rack and pinion unit in it. It has a bad bushing in the right side and I am looking for a replacement bushing. I ran across your site during my search. The Ferrari dealers tell me parts for the rack and pinion unit are no longer available. Any info you have on the company would be appreciated. Call me at 419-478-0200. Sorry but no web address at this time.
