Did Oliver make plows for Ford ( not Dearborn or Ferguson)? Were they just Oliver plows painted blue with Ford decals. I saw were someone said that their 3-bottom MM plow was made by Oliver and painted Gold with MM decals.

Interesting. I changed out the steering gear box on my Ford. The old steering wheel "tube" would not fit my new box. I found a green Oliver tube that was 2" longer and it bolts right up to the Ford box.

Yes, I believe some of the big, semi-mounted plows and big wheel disks sold by Ford were built by Oliver or White. I'm thinking maybe in the 1970s. Fords first red self-propelled combine was definitely built by Oliver. Their blue combines in the mid-70s were built by Klaus in Germany, who now builds the Cat combines. But the smaller 3-point-plows, 2,3 and even 4 bottom were NOT built by Oliver or White. Mik

The first Ford plows to be built by White/Oliver was the model 165 plow. The oldest plows Ford sold that started with the N series and continued for some time were made by Deerborn. I believe Ford made the later plows like the model 130 themselves untill they got White to make plows for them.

When Ford first built tractors they specialized only in tractors. Although farmers wanted Ford to supply implements for their tractors they wouldn't so other companies came forth with implements for them. Oliver was one of the more prolific suppliers of implements for the Ford's. I did see somewhere that when Ford did start to offer implements for their tractors that they used Oliver as a supplier, although I do not know to what extent. Hope this helps a bit. I am an Oliver enthusiast who has just acquired a Ford in a deal I just couldn't pass up.

I am going to buy a FORD 2-row, 3pt. cultivator from a good neighbor sometime this winter. I wonder if it was made by Oliver? It's blue so it's not made by Dearborn I am assuming. He paid $125 for it about 10 years ago and that's what he wants for it now, I guess I can't blame him since he never used it. Needs new points and I know where I could get some shields for it from a guy.
It's in decent shape. Do you think this is too much? It might have a added value since it can be pulled with the N-series.

Deerborn implements seem to have a collector value where other Ford implements do not. But small implements no matter who built or sold them always seem to bring good money at auctions.

I don't know if Ford made some of these implements themselves or not but what I do know for sure is that the early blue Ford plows were not built by Oliver/White. We have a couple of model 130 plows one 3-16 and one 4-16. The parts will not interchange with any Oliver plow parts. I can also say that Ford field cultivators were made by Glencoe and Ford discs were made by Sunflower.
