Just got this tractor last week. I was doing dirt work with it when I noticed it wont hold the blade in certain positions. I can raise it all the way up but that's it. Nothing in between. Changed the fluid in it but doesn't seem to make a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

Reach down under the seat on the right hand side. There is a lever at the top of the main housing that is pointing down. It is in Draft control mode. Pull the lever up till it is pointing towards the front of the tractor and it will be in position control mode.

Thanks for the info Jerry. I thought it was the draft too but it doesn't seem to make a difference with the lever up or down. Could it be the pump?

you might have a problem with the internal linkage on the position control on the lift cover. there also might be a valve that is sticking. you can pull the pto lever cover off the side start the tractor work the linkage and see if you have any leaks or if the linkage is working right.

Thanks Bill, I'll try it as soon as it warms up. I live in Ft Worth and we had an ice storm blow through last night. I don't have much experience working on tractors but I think I'm mechanically inclined. Usually if I have a manual I can work on just about anything. Do you or anyone else out there have any info on where I can get one on this tractor.

I ordered one for my 3000 about 5 years ago at the Ford/New Holland dealer it cost about $55 for the full set, there are 4 book ;1 Operators Manual which covers 2000,3000,4000 and 5000 and 3 service manuals which covers 2000 through 7000. The set is worth the price there is a lot of information in them. Hope this helps.
