What kind of symtoms would a worn distributor bushing cause in a 641?

Rough running, prob. worse at idle. If it were mine I would put an electronic conversion kit in it. That would be cheaper than buying a rebuilt dist. Most elec. ign. have a large gap between the pickup device and the reluctor. This makes it a lot more forgiving if you have some wear in the dist shaft. The old points don't work well at all when the shaft is loose. The tractor will run and start better with the hotter ign. anyway. Sure am happy with the one I put on my 53 Jube.

I had this on my 4400.Mine had a miss in it.Drove me nuts until we found this and fixed it.
