Tony ,I have a serial number question for you.On my 4000 4 cyl. gas industrial, the serial # and model # don't quite jive. The model # is 40303 serial # 159013.There's too many numbers! On the engine block there is a casting # conn6015j, on the tranny's right side # 310835 on the rear left side # conn 4024f.I'm trying too find out the year.I'm pretty sure it's a 1962.Could you please help me determine the year.

Hi Al, You have a light duty industrial 4000 that was built in the last week Feb 1962 , It has the soild non adjustable front axle but the sheetmetal looks like an ag. tractor , it is a four speed with three point and pto , they all had power steering and heavy duty clutch , and no there isn't too many numbers stamped in it , most serial number charts are not clear unless you can check a genuine Ford chart . Thanks Tony Jacobs
