SOS question

I have a 1960 SOS and I have a problem with band 1. I have erratic pressure which is not allowing the band to fully engage. I have replaced the O-ring on the servo, removed the valve body and checked the spool operation as well as checking the gasket for leaks. What I want to do now is to apply air pressure to thr band 1 port and see if I can see any leaks. My question is how much pressure should I apply to check it. Any help would be appreciated

Pressure is checked at servos, not clutches. If memory serves, pressure at each servo at 800 rpm should be 180 PSI +-10. Any air pressure between 80-180 lbs. should work.

Been a while since I've been into one but if I remember right when you check pressure, its not the servo pressure but clutch pressure you're checking.Have you tried doing the band adjustment yet? Might give it a try, Beats tearing one of those to pieces. Clutch pressure should be around 150psi so your air compressor won't do any damage.Good luck. Gary
