I have a Jubilee I just got and there is a pump by the flywheel with 2-steel lines coming off it what are they for? Is there a Hydraulic pump in the housing below the seat like in the Ns and Fergusons? Is the front pump for live hydraulics, and the rear one under the seat for the 3-point arms? A Jubilee is new to me but sort of looks the same as the Ns. Thanks, Mark H.

Mark, there are two kind of pumps, a vane pump and a piston pump the latter being the most desirable. The optional live power talked about has a control lever on the left side by the lever that engages the pto. I have 2 jubilees , each with the different setups. The live power is great when it works, and parts are tough to come by. The vane pumps are sorta square and the piston pumps round. Good luck.

Thanks for the information on the pumps! I have learned that it is the piston type. I will look for the extra part you are talking about today. I am parting out this tractor and have never done a Jubilee before. I have noticed they have a lot of 8N part numbers on them. It seems to be a well built tractor parts wise more stuff on them then the other ones I have done before. More modern set up. Mark H.

One more question. The Jubilee has a Hup 3-speed in it lever on the right side by sterring collum. Would this fit a 8N or Ferguson? I know the ones out of a Ferguson fit the 9N, 8N and would you have to change the input or transmission gear. Or dose this Hup only fit the NAAs with out any modifications to it? Thanks Again, Mark H.

Mark, those NAA's didn't have a pump in the belly like the N- series, that pump on the side off the engine is the only one. Thats how they came up with live hyd. the pump drives off the camshaft, runs when ever the engine is running.

OK thanks for the information. I am taking it apart and was wondering what I was getting into. Dose the PTO work the same way? I have heard something about a double clutch so it works all the time even when you push the clutch in. The Ns and Fergusons PTO stop working when you push the clutch in. Mark H.

Most jubilee's and NAA's had the same "transmission PTO''s" that the 8N's had. The two stage clutch "live PTO" came with the 60's as the660 / 860 / 960 / 661 / 861/ 961 series.
A few of the Jubilee's and NAA's had a live pto powered by a live hydraulic clutch from a seperate hyd pump fitted off the hour meter drive. These units are rare and I understand not very dependable.

Mark, the pto is just about the same as the 8-9N, there was an optional live pto kit, some kinda hyd. clutch on the diff. that let ya stop tractor motion & leave the pto turnin. Didn't make many of them, they were preaty pricie I'm a thinkin. I can,t add any thing about your Hupp step-up, I have never had one. My next project, I hope to be a 2-N, I want to either get already equiped with a step up or add one to it, oh well one at a time. Mark best of luck with your NAA & also the 9N ya been keepin us posted on, OUTSTANDING, John

John,my Jubilee has the set-up that your talking about. You can move the lever on the left side of the tractor and its just like putting it in neutral. You can kick it in and out of gear without using the clutch. You can have the tractor at an idle in say 1st gear and move the lever and it will gradually take off like an automatic transmission. Later,Terry

Thanks John I was tring to learn something about the parts I was going to remove from it today. They sent me the wrong book I bought and I am waiting for the proper one. I guess I will see how it works when I take it apart and can match up part numbers later. Mark H.
