The 641 water pump started leaking Sunday and I wanted to know if these had to be sent off to be rebuilt or do I go and buy one somewhere? And also,do I have to remove the radiator and grille to get it off? Thanks

Got a new unit from N-H dealer for my 850. Best quality and no problems. I did not have to remove the rad or grill, you should not have to on yours either. Clean mating surface and use some sealer on gasket and bolt threads. Good Luck

I did my water pump on my 641 when I had it all apart. I recomend getting a new water pump than a rebuilt. I am sure rebuilts are good but when I had my tractor apart I decided to put a new one on. Just bring your old pump in for exchange. As for where to go check your ford dealer or there is a place called central tractor out of Iowa or a T.S.C. (tractor supply company. There on the internet ) I will check with some friends to see if you can do the pump with out taking everything off. Good luck. P.S. If you live in Penna. There is a tractor part place in Myerstown called Wengers they have a web page too.
