Looking to buy a Ford 2000. The owners recently had the hydraulics rebiult. The lift went all the way up the first couple of times but now will only go up about 8 inches or so with or without a load. Any ideas. Thanks.

Did you try holding the position control lever all the way up with your hand while lifting? If not, push the positon control lever up hard and hold it there while you try the lift and see if it works. If so, report back.

I spoke with the guys that are selling the Tractor and they tried holding the position lever up while it was raising but it still only goes up about 6-8 inches. They said they have even removed the position lever from the guide that it rides in to see if more movement would make a difference and it did not.
I had them get the numbers that they could find, but they do not seem to be what they should. I may go get the numbers myself this evening. The numbers they found were NCA7006.B

No- it sounds like they are only working with the Touch control lever. The position control/draft control lever may need to be moved too- it will effect how the touch control works. I think up or horizontal are the two positions it was meant to work in, but as the system gets older the placements may "move a bit" until work is required on the unit. 1/2 way between horizontal and up may be the key to getting it to lift all the way. (Am I making sense or am I way off on this?) good luck
