sometimes when using my 3ph I can run for an hour or so with no problem. I then lift my implement
using the lift lever and it pegs out in the upper position. The pump begins to load up and I have to shut down the tractor. After allowing the lift to leak down and messing with the draft control the lift drops down and works corectly. I sometimes have to repeat this several times. Any help would be apicieated.

Sounds like the unload valve is sticking. The 3cylinder tractors use a metal seal ring on the unload valve where the older tractors used a rubber o-ring. It may be that it has worn into its guide bushing and is sticking in that position sending the hydralic oil to the lift cylinder instead of allowing it to return to sump. The unload valve spool is shifted by hyd pressure depnding on how you move the control valve and does not have a mechanical connection to your lever movements.

Basically you will need to remove the lift cover. If the unload valve bushing needs to be pulled and replaced it is best to do that with a special tool. However you will not need anything special to do an inspection of the unload valve and bushing.
