I need to replace grease seals on the rear axles of my Jubilee. I got the brake drums off (had to heat the flat head screws a little), got the big hex nut and flat washer off each axle, but can't get the hubs to move. I have a large 3 jaw puller, drawn up real tight, and hitting the end of the center screw; nothing moving. Did I miss something? Is there anything else holding that hub on the axle? Should I put heat on the hub? Any other trick you can offer? I sure don't want to break anything. Thanks for the help!

Check the archives of the N board. I have seen
reference to driving the tractor around in tight
circles to get the hubs loose (with the nut still
on loosly?)

I usually get them off by using a puller like you are. Put the nut back on axle loosely so shaft will not swell and a few good licks with a 12 maul and they pop off the tapered splines. I don't use heat as I have not had one come off yet. Hope this helps.
