What Ford Tractors would you recommend for....

I am in the market for a used 1960-present diesel tractor on a relatively light chassis. In the size range of a large compact or a small utility tractor. With between 35-45HP. Would like it to be able to handle a loader/box blade/6ft brushhog/and 6ft 3pt finish mower. It will need to have a live or independent PTO and I would prefer not to have to use an extenal pump for the loader. Would like to be able to run the 3pt and loader at the same time. I can only spend about $9,000. What Ford models would you recommend that would fit this description and be a machine that would last.

Thanks for the input,
Brandon

Brandon; I know you said "fords", but you are doing yourself a dis-service limiting yourself to just "Fords". For the money you have, you can get a good tractor built in the 90's and not thirty + years ago!! Give it some thought, just my $.02..

I concur with the 3000 (or the 3400 industrial).
Get power steering for the loader. Loader will
require front pump. Live PTO is only on the 8 speed trans. Independent PTO only on select-o-speed (get input
on the SOS trans, some like it, some don't)

Hey Brandon, I too would recommend a 3000, but the loader thing without an external pump throws a kink in it, the 3-point hydraulics would probably run a loader but I'm thinking it would be slow and I dont think you would be happy with it.

Take a close look at a Ford 3000 Diesel 1968 up. You should find one in good shape for a little less than your budget. It will fit all your perimeters except possibly the loader. I know nothing about loaders.
