My 1964 Ford tractor is dying on me, like it is starving for gas. After letting it sit for several days, it will crank back up. Then, after 30 minutes of use, it will quit again and it has to sit for several more days. Seems to have plenty of battery to start and gas is good.

What Jim said.

Also, make sure you check all of the electrical connections for corrosion. I suspect it is the coil but the wait several days aspect is extremely odd. You may be seeing a vacuum on the fule tank also. Crack the filler cap and see if there is a vacuum after it stops running. Good luck.

It has been said that 90% of "fuel" problems are really in the ignition system. Dying after 30 minutes is usually a sign of either a weak key switch or weak coil. However, when you say that it needs to sit for several days before it will start again baffles me. A switch or coil problem will usually restart after it cools. To test the key switch, carry a jumper wire with you next time you use the tractor. When it dies, jumper around the key switch. If the problem goes away, you've found the guilty part. If not, keep looking. I'm not familiar with your tractor so I can't tell you exactly where all the fuel screens are that could get clogged.
