yes, i am looking for a website that will help me over haul my ford 223. I need some of the basic information about the engine. like engine codes, firing order, gaps, torque specs and order of torque. Anyone out there have a book or some information for me, if so please email me. Thanks and i appreciate it

I have just purchased '60 ford f100 step side with an i-line 6 cylinder I suspect engine to be a 223. If you have any links I would appreciate your help.

Lots of public libraries have old MOTOR and Chilton manuals in their reference sections. You might check this out at a larger or main branch. It would be nice to have the specs for the exact year, but they used the same basic engine for about 10 years or so. Most libraries also have low cost photocopiers, so you can copy the information you need, for later study.

Or you can sometimes find the old manuals at used book stores or maybe, like almost anything else, on ebay. But the library is free, other than the copy fees.
